Tips:
Cars must not exceed 5 ounces on the Pack Scale (you really want the car as close to 5 ounces as possible)
personal scales, post offices scales may be used to get to the general weight, but you need to be able to adjust the weights
and not exceed 5 ounce on the PACK SCALE
(in other words if your scale says 5.0 and the pack scales says 5.2, Pack Scale is official and you need to remove .2 ounces)
Follow the Rules – The goal is to have Fair and Fun Races – Please do not try to cheat or bend the rules
Let the scout do as much work as possible, sure it may not look perfect, but he will be proud of it.
Practice Day – DON’T MISS PRACTICE DAY – It is very possible your scout’s car will not make it all the way down the track.
Race day is not the day to find this out. Come to practice, test drive and adjust.
DO NOT BUY Kits from Hobby Stores – You must use an official kit. You can buy accessories, weights, etc. But do not
buy the bodies, wheels and axles from the hobby store, most are NOT official. If in doubt ask first.
The Chalkboard Stores carry the official kits, if Pack 20 does not have any extra for sale.
